Last week was Oni-con in Houston, which was awesome and a much needed break from school. While I was there I was lucky enough to have a photo project, portraits, that could be completed at the con. Long story short, I found some really awesome cosplayers, got 4 really great rolls of film developed and presented probably the best project of my college career so far. With this being such a great success and considering how much I enjoyed both taken and printing all the pictures, I’ve decided to attempt to turn this into a much bigger project and hopefully a small scale business venture. From now on I will try and devote the majority of my con attendance to scheduling photo shoots and selling prints back to the cosplayers. So far with this first run, it seems to very successful, with everyone wanting prints, which has pushed me into attempting this at the next con I attend. I really hope that this will work out for me, make some money doing what I love, where I love to be or at least pay off the cost of the trip there. I haven’t really got anything else hashed out yet, but I plan on doing so soon. Until then, here are pictures (bad scanner /sadface).
Tanabata Recap August 8, 2009
Last night was the Tanabata party, which ended up being extremely fun and a great way to start off parties in the new apartment. It was a good turn out people wise and just a really chill night hanging out with people I haven’t seen in a long time.
The rest of the photos are here.
BTW, drunk Adam = shaky photos
Blacklight and Figures August 7, 2009
Real quick post, just finished putting my room together and threw in a blacklight for fun. I guess I never noticed it before, but some of the figures react really cool to it.

I’m going to take some time soon to get some cool photos, theres a lot with just the figures I have.
First Galleries!!! July 20, 2009
I recently got a “job” (doesn’t pay) taking photos for Red Stick Live of local shows and happenings around Baton Rouge. I really don’t care about the pay since I’m doing it for the experience, but its been really fun just on my first two assignments, Dirty Projectors & The Givers at Chealsea’s and Bablecon Sci-fi convention.
Have my first two galleries of the Drity Projector & The Givers show on the site.
You can see all the photos on my Flickr account.
Needless to say, I’m extremely excited that I’m getting to do this, its more or less a dream come true. So I plan on continuing with this gig a long as possible.
Also, big things in the future…hopefully.
Cool New Pepsi Bottle July 16, 2009
Went to Wal-Mart today and while I was checking out I saw that Pepsi had put out these newly designed bottles. I guess its going along with the new logo and all, but I can’t imagine it being more than a summer thing considering that its 16oz and costs $1.50, so I grabbed one while they are still in existence. I do think that they are really cool and hip, i.e. LOL duh, so I might go get a few of the other colors and designs in the future. Plus its a pry off top which is fun.

Transformation Success
